Seems like once one settles on the internet provider.....$40 to $60 per month getting the desired television programming in one fashion or another still gets the monthly bill close to or over $100.
Convenience is worth something in the equation. Streaming is still too complicated for some of us. We like to record all of what we watch in advance and watch what we like when ever we choose to do so.
I not aware streaming allows that mode of operating.....very conveniently.
I am always open to a better/less expensive way that does not require a degree in communications/electronics/gadgetry
