The Humane Society/SPCA of Sumter County does not set a maximum age limit on the adopter but it does suggest that as adopters mature to have a plan in place for family, friends or a shelter/rescue be willing to accept your pet(s) when you an no longer able to care for it due to injury, illness or your passing.
