Default Re: McCain's Underwhelming Acceptance Speech!

Chelsea;

See below my copy of the Cassie post from earlier in this thread: her perhaps comments should suffice. It should be clear when I said I accept her apology. To that I would add can't one say any she looks better than any he or another she meaning....dressed better? Nice grooming? Professional appearance? Brighter appearance....these would/could all qualify as "sight" designators. I would like to think "sounds" is pretty self explanatory, but then again I don't/can't read into things like some do.

I also thought I was pretty clear advising if I had posted a sexist remark, there would be no mistaking it....I don't believe in inuendo. I don't listen to or give oblique messages. I guess I am just a little old fashioned....I say what I mean and I mean what I say....no second guessing....no hidden messages.....no interpretation required....usually!
It is so much easier that way....usually!!

Anyway here is Cassies' post:

Bill:

I apologize in advance if I am taking this comment the wrong way...but this seems (to me) rather sexist and shallow. Sights n sound evaluation? Better looking? More entertaining? Just doesn't hit me the right way....

If perhaps you meant to say that she "sounded" much more intelligent and sophisticated then some of her counter parts.
If perhaps you meant "entertaining" because she said something so enlightening and thought provoking...
If perhaps you meant that she "looks" like a strong willed, well qualified candidate for VP.

Then I humbly apologize and do not think the comment was sexist and shallow.
