Profiling is an effective method of narrowing the search field when looking for a person, place or thing.
The public has been
hoodwinked by the specter of "racial profiling," with the canard that it is always wrong to include race as an element of narrowing the search criteria. There are times when race is a valid element of the search. But to include it runs the risk of being painted as a racist.
