Since my husband retired he has gotten into a lot of barter type situations with friends and neighbors. He loves it because he would rather not sit idle and his only real hobby is going to the gym - too much work and no play over the years. So he's done house sitting, pet sitting, and helps friends with their contracting businesses.

One funny thing he did was he rearranged the neighbor's family room furniture when they were away. I asked him why would you do that?? He said he thought it looked better the way he arranged it. Then I asked what happens if they don't agree?? He replied, I'll just put it back where it was.....duh (what I think he was thinking about my question, not what he actually said to me). Long story short they came home and loved it!! So guess whose furniture got rearranged next? Our living room, and guess what? I love it! I guess he has NOTHING but another talent I never knew about in the 35 years of living under the same roof! LOL
