As it stands right now, and in spite of those who said they would bet that people here wouldn't want to see a fireworks display...it looks to me like the 'preponderance' (+-65% to 35%) of those voting...would like to see one.
To emphasize this point, my quick (and admittedly unscientific) analysis indicates that for those members who have made posts so far (disregarding multiple posts by the same person) in this thread against fireworks, outnumber those posts for a fireworks display...by about 23 to 9 against.

And yet, the actual poll...shows just the opposite.

Pretty eye-opening IMHO.
