As far as the OP's question, my golf cart only leaves the garage when I play golf. Tomorrow it will be going to Belle Glade, then it won't move again until I play next week. I prefer a car with A/C, XM Radio, and it's faster. The thrill of driving a cart gets old after a few months. Also when you're in the car, it doesn't limit your decisions on where and when to go somewhere. We can eat on 466 at Red Lobster and 15 minutes later be shopping at Kohls on 441/27 and swing by Neighborhood Walmart on the way home. All in a days of driving in TV.
We'll go to Oaks Mall in Gainesville about once a year, Florida Mall in Orlando about once a year, and Paddock Mall in Ocala about 3 or 4 times a year, Wiregrass Mall and Tampa Premium Outlets in Wesley Chapel about once a year. That's our area of shopping outside TV. In June we also went to Seaworld in Orlando and Busch Gardens in Tampa as far as attractions.
