I volunteer with Max's Pet Connection and the approximate fee for a dog is $325. The fee is generally higher for puppies/purebreds and lower for older/special needs dogs. All of the dogs have the adoption fees now printed on the id cards which are attached to the crates. Keep in mind that the dogs are up to date on all shots, they are spayed/neutered, micro-chipped, and are kept in foster homes until their forever home can be found. There is a $25 non-refundable application fee, and if the adoption goes through, that fee is deducted from the final adoption fee of the dog. References are checked and a home visit is also completed.

The dogs come from kill shelters, owner surrender, and strays, but they stay in foster homes. We will be at the Lady Lake PetSmart on 441 on Saturday 7/28 and on alternate Saturdays at the new PetSmart on 466 on Wedgewood Lane. The hours are 10-2.
