Fear of Lettuce: Is there an app for that?
Good morning,
Just when I thought it was safe to go back in the lettuce, the news is now of parasites lurking.
I have always, always, always scrubbed fresh produce in a somewhat neurotic manner. Kind of like Monk would do. Or Lady MacBeth, “Out! Out! Damned E. coli! Out! Out! Damned bugs!”
I was told that spraying produce with vinegar when washing is a good idea in general. But I don’t know if that really helps.
Keeping up with these recalls is turning into a full time job. (I do not look at the news constantly.)
Anyway, I think there has to be an app that keeps up with recalls and stays current. Does anybody know?
