There is a place in the Fort Lauderdale are called Drone Nerds that does repairs and a place in Tampa that does repairs. In this case I sent my back to the manufacturer, DJI, in California for repair. I purchased a form of repair insurance from the manufacturer that covers just about anything for repairs twice with deductibles of $99 the first time and $149 the second time in the first year. So drop a $2000 drone in the water, you send it in and they basically replace it for $99. Crash it into a tree or a wall, same thing. They only do it twice in the first year, after that your SOL. Overall a pretty good deal for $149 for the insurance.
In the case of my stupidity on this one last month, the repairs were $89 for parts and labor so it didn't count against my 2 oopses.
It was sickening feeling watching it go down, I hope not to have to use the insurance.
