The kids were engaged, sleeping or made little shows using stuffed animals. Nothing coming out of speaker woke them up. My younger son, at 10 figured out that if he said that he had motion sickness we gave a kiddie pill to help. He would sleep. No, no.......I mean the sitting in the driveway part. We too enjoy books on tape or similar when we are driving long distances.
Sorry I wasn't clear. I was just thinking of how when we often traveled long distances it was to see a relative or friend. I was envisioning us sitting in the car in the driveway to listen to the end of the book while everyone was at the door waiting to greet us wondering what the heck we were doing....lol
