Unfortunately I can't recommend a private home type of service, but I can highly recommend Bedtime Tails Luxury Pet Hotel. We boarded our two there for 3 weeks and they seemed to like their own "vacation". We have used them several times and our dogs get excited going there. Cathy does a great job, and actually lives onsite. Here is a link if you decide to check them out:
