Mayonnaise and Aioli.
Mayonnaise is something that I use frequently and Hellmann's is my choice. This was discussed some time ago and I told CFrance I would try her brand, but my dear husband forgets we aren't OUT of mayonnaise and now because of BoGo's at Publix, we have four big fat jars in the pantry.
I would be interested to see if I like anything better than Hellmanns. And I will try others, one of these days. I use mayonnaise in potato salad, hot chicken salad, bake fish with it and garlic, and for lots of other things.
One of my most pleasant culinary memories of a visit to France some years ago was their garlic mayonnaise (Aioli) on green beans. It was wowser good. With a kick too.
Do you have a favorite mayonnaise or an interesting way to use it? Please tell us.
Here is a simple dish I make when I have a couple of apples that are being ignored. I peel and dice them, add grated cheddar cheese, few grapes if I have them, mayonnaise and some dried cranberries for a simple but tasty side dish.
