All questions to consider. I hate buying a new car and not garaging it but that's because I usually keep a car for next to forever. And I dislike even more paying for gas. So they probably aren't absolutes just unanswered questions at this point. I think fw has a point about living with what you have until you really know what it is you need. That's probably when NOTHING but the best answer will come to you.

An absolute yes about the lumbar support and seating comfort. That will be a big consideration if we're going to make that drive every year.
