I caught the first couple of episodes during a free HBO weekend. It is quite funny (to me, anyway) and it is very dark. It's probably not everybody's cup of tea but if I bothered getting HBO, I'd probably watch it. The only way you're going to know if it's worth watching for you is to actually watch an episode or two.
