They put him there because his case was so severe they were giving him morphine for the pain among other meds and he needed to be on a monitor. Since it was so late at night, they rolled in an extra bed for me and told me I could stay there overnight with him. So surfing the television channels and being an avid Stephen King fan at the time, he came across The Shining and asked if I would mind if we watched it. Of course, I said not at all. Well, by the time that movie was over I sure could have used some of that morphine just to sleep.
