If you leave the sliding glass door from the house to the lanai when you enclose it there will be no change in your tax bill. When we did it we raised the floor to the level of the house. We also used dual pane glass and the houses air conditioner keeps the area at the same temperature as the rest of the house when leaving the sliders open.
