I've been following Obama and his connection to the Chicago Annenberg Challenge (CAC) for some time and regardless of whether you think it is important, almost everyone should consider whether a candidate is a liar or not and exactly what he is lying about and why. Obama says that Ayers is just an old guy who lives in my neighborhood. Axelrod (Obama's Campaign Manager) says that Obama and Ayers are aquaintences because their kids went to the same school. Like you might expect of lawyers, both of these statements are true but intended to mislead on purpose. Ayers obtained the initial $50 million grant from Annenberg to fund the CAC. Ayers installed Obama as the Chairman of the CAC. Ayers and Obama managed the disbursement of funds from the CAC to the tune of around $160 million in total. Obama was Chairman from 1995 to at least 2000. Not only did Ayers and Obama work together on the CAC, but they had many other occasions to work together on many Boards and on the initiation of Obama's political career.

So why would Obama hide his most extensive management experience as the head of anything? Could it be that the CAC was a flop as far as improving the Chicago Public Schools are concerned? It was a flop! Unless Obama clarifies why the CAC isn't listed on his resume it is not reasonable to consider voting for this man for a leadership position. Does Obama have any long term mentors or even friends who are not radicals or "former" radicals?

Axekrod's comment that Ayers' and Obama's kids went to the same school didn't note that Ayers is much older than Obama and their kids were not in school at the same time as one might think Axelrod was implying. So not outright lies in a technical legal sense, but close enough for government work.
