I put ours in an airtight bag in the freezer. Just remember to take it out several hours before you want to use it.
I do so little color printing that my next printer will be a B&W laser. Can get them for under $100 and never have problem with the toner being left for longer periods. Also, in the long run, non-OEM toner is much cheaper than ink cartridges.
