Our 2016 Yamaha Golf Cart with a carburetor engine has increased the speed from exactly 20 MPH to almost 25 MPH by itself. I tried the adjustment with the screw several years ago and after riding it around the block put it back to 20 MPH and put Locktite on the thread and took a picture of where the adjustment should be. It has not moved. What else could it be? I don't want it faster than 20 MPH as it is just not safe IMHO.
Our three adult boys drive the cart when they visit and I would like to get it taken care of before they arrive again. I do not want to move the adjustment nut on the rod because I'm certain it is in the correct position. Any ideas?
It has to be something else.
