So I think fall colours in Ontario are usually NOTHING but later in October.
Some years the fall folliage is more beautiful than other years. The leaves are certainly brilliant this year, and wonderful to see.

The reason I had asked about that was because when I was up in NW PA visiting family earlier this month, usually by then they are in almost full fall color or pretty close. I've gone up a couple of weeks later other years and the trees would already be pretty bare. By now, in SE PA we are usually looking pretty colorful but this year so far, NOTHING. It seems late to me here which has me a little concerned with going away at the end of November. We still might not be done raking leaves around here by then if this continues.
Anyway, glad to hear you are having such a beautiful fall and that you are there to enjoy it, Barefoot. To me, for the aggravation of clean up, the least they could be is pretty

. I do see fw's point about the extra work involved with the changing of the seasons. NOTHING anyone of sane mind would miss.
