Puterguru, your post is beyond ridiculous. A Senator has nothing to do with the day to day workings of a particular city or any of the numbers you have stated. I've seen you Republicans reach before, but this is truly from Fantasyland.
Now for Chicago. I'm from Chicago and I'm proud to call it my hometown, even though we now live in The Villages. You can slam whoever you choose, but you cannot slam Chicago. It's a city filled with wonderful people, cultural attractions, cool jazz and sophistication. The skyline is stunning and people are second to none. The sports fans are uniquely loyal and true, whether winning or loosing. The food is scrumptious, The Art Institute holds some of the greatest treasures on earth, you can't help but fall in love again on Navy Pier, the concerts, the opera, the Historical Society, The Natural History Museum all surround Lake Michigan. I'll put all of this up against anything you have to compare it with.
If you really want to get into a "schoolyard fight" why don't you state where you're from and let me do some digging. Like Cologal says, pay attention to what counts. It's Economics! And McCain got us there in his 26 years as Mr. De-regulation!
