For some of the whites portrayed, it did not matter whether it was a black grandmother...or child....or man of the cloth....etc.....there was no good to be found or said about any because the only thing that mattered to them was they were not white. Continued, unabated predjudice.

That is how partisan bickering comes across.....it doesn't matter who or what the opposition is for or about....good or bad....if it is the opposition unload on them spewing what ever one thinks would/could demean the person/position.
Very Pelosi like....as she continues to brag that if it is from the opposition, I am against it....perfect example.

Again using the energy legislation example...it is more important to work against the Republicans than it is to sit down and work out a policy that will in fact accomplish what the American people want (oops, I forgot, what does that have to do with partisan politics eh?)

Like in Mississippi, until such time as the predjudice (usually referred to as choice or opinion) in politics is set aside.....there will be no change......America will continue to flip flop around....falling farther from the principals of ....."we the people..."and it does not matter who gets elected!!!
In my very humble opinion.

Too bad the mental orientation of politics can't be more like the Easter Bunny or Santa Claus (to name a couple) that most seem to be able to enjoy and party affiliation doesn't have to be touted to make it happen!!

Hmmmnnnn...Santa Claus....Easter Bunny.....Politics...they are sort of in a similar class, eh?

BTK
In the end, the Change the American people seem to want more than anything is the end of partisan politics in leglislation-making. Country First is the actual desire.

In other words: Change - Country First is the banner there should be, as these slogans need to be combined, not held separate.
