It should, fw. I understand that redness and itching may dictate a diagnosis of allergies, but the gunk in your eye usually tells me an infection is going on. People will come into the pharmacy like that and I send them right to the doctor. NOTHING over the counter will generally cure that. And if you do have an infection, taking steroids on top of it without the antibiotic probably did NOTHING but make it worse. I think you're on the right track here. Keep us posted.
