One more thing to follow-up on before I have to do the dreaded housekeeping around here. K, you asked about Bambi who happens to be alive and well. There will be no killing of baby deer on my property although one did jump out in front of my car the other day. I spotted it far enough ahead that I could stop and I just sat there waiting for the mom or someone to trot across. NOTHING!! So I pulled up closer and took a look both ways but again NOTHING. I think that little baby was running around alone. When I got home I told my husband I guess the deer are taking a page out of the book of human life as we know it. Too many parents letting their kids run around unattended at too young of an age - lol.
Anyway, the tree stand is in place. The day they came to put it up their eyes lit up as they pulled down our driveway. In the backyard stood 10 deer! Talk about timing. It's snowing like crazy here right now so not sure when they will be back to actually man it. I know one of the guys only got a buck license so he may be disappointed. There are a couple in our neighborhood but obviously not nearly as many as there are doe.
