Re libraries, Sumter at Pinellas has very little in the 782.1 section. They do, however, have a healthy 641.
The Lake County Library system seems to have a better collection of operas on DVD and quite a few more just in CD. Not sure about cookbooks but most public libraries have quite a lot of those. And not for NOTHING.
