ps I'm not a landlord.
Florida does not have an income tax so you do not have to file a return.
Your Federal taxes will follow the same rules as the state you lived in.
You will have to file a part time resident return with the state you moved from and that will be your final tax return to that state unless you have business property in the state.
Be sure to file for the homestead exemption for your Fl real-estate taxes. Check your county real estate tax collectors site for info.
