However, the OP was clear in naming a movement and discussing the lyrics seems very minor, but then of course, an entire network DID spend hours discussing ONE radio station (of over 15,000 stations) that took drastic action.
I simply wonder about motivation on this, while our country is awash in lies and false personal accusations. It seems that should get our attention first.
When theses lyrics are worthy of what certain are making, and that includes the extremes who called this station, then count ourselves lucky, because methinks priorities are all screwed up here.

I am the king of sarcasm but not this time. I rather live in a bubble on this one. One can post all the analysis and read between the lines on this but in my heart (rare for me to say) the author of this song did not intend to send out a date rape message in the 1940's. That's when coke was a coke.
