The home right next door to us when it was a year old, the snowbirds came in after being gone for a few months and discovered the M/BR and bath were flooded. They called warranty and found out a leak had sprung in the plumbing in the slab.

They removed all the furniture, carpet, tile, vanities, and about 3' of drywall in both rooms. Brought in a jackhammer and went at it for a few hours. Patched the leak, filled in the dirt, filled the slab back in and ran high speed fans for a few days. Then brought in all new carpet, tile, vanities, drywall and make it like new. Took about 3 weeks for the full repair, didn't cost them a dime.

It was this home right here. The only thing to come about this, was it has changed hands 4 times since 2011. I believe the current owner will stay since he is not a snowbird and he has actually downsized from a designer home. The previous 3 owners all found the 2 BR 1-1/2 car garage home too small and moved on and also were somewhat leery after they found out about the leak. Everytime it sold, the realtors never informed the new buyers about the leak because they said it was repaired by warranty dept and didn't need to. The third buyer had actually gotten a lawyer after they found out and that's what they were told.
