I have doing some reading about the tee times and I think I understand the system but have some questions.

1. I have been using AOL for the past 6 years while vacationning in Florida and was wondering if there are access numbers for AOL in the Villages. Does anyone use AOL now.

2. If I wanted to use the computer I understand that I have to go to villages.net and buy a six month membership in order to book online.

I still use AOL, so I can help with your first 2 questions:

1. Open AOL. Go to Help. Go to AOL Access Phone Numbers. Follow the instructions. I picked 2 numbers, one for Lady Lake and the other one for Wildwood. You can name the access numbers "Villages Rental" or something like that, and save it so it shows up in the drop-down access menu on your sign-on screen. One thing you definitely want to check is what kind of plan you have with AOL. If you upgraded to high speed cable internet, you might only have 10 hours/month of dial-up. After that they charge you an additional fee for each hour of dial-up connection. Check your plan with AOL.

2. You don't have to buy a 6 month membership with the villages.net in order to book tee times online. You can buy only a month for $15, or at least that's the way it was last December. Their office is located in Lake Sumter Landing. They'll sign you up in a jiffy and give you all the information you need to configure your computer to work with it.

I can't help with your other questions, but the good folks here at TOTV will know the answers! One thing I know for sure... You're in for the time of your life!
