This was definitely an issue when we visited, each time. Our first time, we didn't see the divider between the golf cart path and the road, heading out of Spanish Springs to the bridge on a drizzly night. We ended up on the road. In our rented golf cart. When we got onto the bridge we couldn't figure out how we missed the path, but neither of us saw it. Obviously we couldn't continue on the road, and it wasn't safe to turn around or back up on the bridge. So I did what every self-respecting road demon does: I hopped the curb in the golf cart.
The next day we went grocery shopping and someone stole our rented golf cart. Except - turns out it wasn't actually stolen. Turns out most of those rentals all use the same key, and someone thought ours was theirs. We got ours back but it was pretty scary thinking we'd have to spend the next day of our vacation dealing with a stolen golf cart rental.
