Well we apparently have quite different experiences for which I have no answer. I set up YouTube TV in Kansas City in June. Spent late July and all of August in The Villages and had KC local channels in both places. In addition I had Fox Sports KC, so I could watch the Royals games. Back to KC in beginning of September with no change.
