General comment, not specific to that facility. I am not a fan of getting rehab at the surgeon's office. The therapists are employees of the same organization and will have a natural tendency to protect the doctor's work from any criticism or to counter their suggestion. An independent therapist can be more honest with you. If there is a difference of opinion between the doc and the PT you may however be caught in the middle and not know who to believe. Be open with each about what the other expert suggested and see if this is just a two ways to get to the same endpoint of equal value or is there a real disagreement on the best way forward.
Controversy is good in your health care as long as you are not a patient who can deal with uncertainty or a difference of opinion. But that is the real world.
