We just got back from a wonderful Christmas dinner with our friends. Can't believe it is our third Christmas here. Two years ago if you would have told me we would be living in Florida I would have NOTHING but laughed in your face. We had no idea whatsoever in January of that year and then by August here we were. Totally opposite from Abby and Ken who have planned this out for so long.
I never thought I would end up in Florida. My younger brother moved here way ahead of his kids from Northern California. He was here quite a long time in various parts of FL before his wife and children moved with him to Safety Harbor, FL. We followed after a while because we were missing the little ones so much and not for NOTHING. I did a cross country trip seeing the Grand Canyon, the Meteor Crater, San Antonio, Austin, New Orleans in the distance, and Mobile Bay and its battleship and sub. Then to Panama Beach with its gorgeous sand. And eventually to Palm Harbor, FL.

I had never been to Florida before that. This was in 1996. We have been here for 22 years in Florida.

And now all those kids are in their 20s and back out west along with a love child we never knew about also turning up who had gone searching for her birth father after he had passed. My late younger brother who never told us about this child's existence.

Do miss trying to bump into the movie stars in the production trailers 300 feet from out our back door and across the golf course fairway. This was in Rohnert Park, CA where we could see the Red Lion Inn out the back door. I only bumped into no names whom you would find buried in the credits. And they mainly wanted to talk about my dog and duck poop and how not to step in it. Lots of movies made in Sonoma, Napa and Marin Counties in California.
