I decided to Google this one. (Sometimes I do that when I should be working on becoming a productive member of society.)

Anyway, this whole thing started in that thread about squirrels. That's where I told everybody about the albino squirrel in our neighborhood. He must be a tough little guy. Albino anything in the animal kingdom is usually first on the menu for some other creature who is not so easy to spot. (I digress. Back to this animal parade thing.)

Also in that thread, I told you that I thought I saw big painted squirrels hanging around on street corners in Cincinnati. And you probably thought, "Uh huh, Boomer. You see big, painted squirrels. OK. That's fine, OK." -- And then you backed away didn't you. And you tried not to make any sudden moves.

Well, as it turned out, I really did see them, along with those Flying Pigs.

So the squirrel thread got this thread started.

And then my curiosity got the best of me, as it often does, and so I Googled. And I found a whole big list of these fiberglass creatures that end up as works of art.

So here is the list. You have to scroll down past all those cows in the parade that started it all. And you will find the list.

I think "Mr. Potato Head" might be my favorite. Not an animal, I know. But I always thought he seemed like a genuinely nice guy. And his wife always seemed nice, too, although she could have used a visit from those "What Not to Wear" people. (Oh, I do so digress.)

So anyway, maybe you will recognize some of these from your hometown.
