Even though it's been more than 15 years now, nothing can bring me in going through...losing another dog.
Spike & Ruby were both rescues and in spite of over $5,000 in surgeries for Ruby (note the edge of the steps at the very bottom of the photo, that she needed to get up on anything)...there was never a question of trying to help her.
Just be ready though, to try and stop (I couldn't) your 'Bagel'...from trying to sleep between your legs every night.
