This guy is a Model Citizen when we are home but a loose nut when we leave. I think that NOTHING but Abby's assessment is spot on. Technology is NOTHING but in order for today. We are going to set up a LUCA CAM.
We have tried for a schedule but he may have been alone for a while cause he's a tough nut to crack. He is sneezing like a fool inside, outside my house, next door no matter where. It's sorta cute because we just realized we are comparing Luca against the Monsterous sized Barney. 16 Lbs VS 95 Lbs approximately.

A schedule may take time.......and a lot of patience, but would probably be well worth. A LUCA CAM is NOTHING but a great idea to give you an idea if he is really anxious about being left alone or just waiting for the opportunity to create a little mischief.
Our second dog, also a rescue, was really great and easy to train. She never went inside the house but when we first got her, we would open the door to let her out and she would go to the bathroom in the garage! We were like, what's that all about? Then we realized, she had been at the rescue for so long that it wasn't unusual for them to go to the bathroom on the concrete which was easy to then clean up. So when she hit the concrete going out the door that's where she thought she was supposed to go. We had to teach her that the proper place was the lawn.
With all the information and stuff out there for pets today, I'm sure in time you'll find the right solution for Luca.
