Can't see that happening, although a good idea, and we would use it.
The main drawback would be parking for the cars/carts at the pickup points, because as sure as God made little apples, no one is going to walk to the bus stop.
The large majority of villagers would rather have teeth pulled without anesthetic, than walk any distance!
