Jumping to conclusions is such a popular activity on TOTV.

A lot of these comments are being made by people who have never worked in the food industry or have never tried to open a new restaurant or reopen a restaurant after an extensive renovation. I have. While it was only a week before reopening that Marion County decided to inspect a closed establishment, I can guarantee that the kitchen etc were in total chaos trying to prepare to open. Not being a conspiracy theorist but it does seem like Marion County tried to do everything it could to delay or to hamper the opening of this place. From delayed inspections for plumbing, electrical etc when the owner called to a surprise health inspection before the restaurant was ready to open, they weren't there to help. They were there to hinder. Did you know that the new owner kept 75 employees working at his other establishments since August even though he didn't need them there to preserve their jobs ?
I think today is the first day of them being open for real. The soft opening, designed to uncover problems is over. Let's see how they do. I wish them all the success in the world. And no, I am not affiliated with the businesses the owner has here in The Villages in any way.
