I'm home from work. Well actually I never made it to work and my husband would probably beg to differ with your assessment of me being on the ball today.
As I was driving on the interstate to work I had a blow out on my front driver's side tire. Yes, the same place the darn deer are attracked to and while I was driving in the hammer lane no less.

I actually had no idea what was going on. I heard a strange noise and as I was proceeding to slow down to move across 3 lanes of traffic to get onto the berm, I thought my brakes weren't working right at first. Once I got control of the car and got it off the road to take a look, I saw my tire was torn to shreds. I was expecting NOTHING like that because my tires were not that old and still in good shape! My next thought was to cry like a girl from the scare but I pulled it together called AAA first then my husband. I pondered calling the police too because I had no idea how the guy from AAA was going to take care of my tire without getting killed - the berm was not very wide, the traffic was very heavy, and the wind was blowing like a son of a gun today. In fact the other side of the interstate was all backed up because a tree had fallen across all 3 lanes.

What a day - so I called into work with a case of hysteria. Anyway, all's well that ends well - nobody got killed and Costco took excellent care of me as usual. Now if I can only stay out of trouble on here........
Oh, and by the way, the tire that blew out was NOT from Costco - don't want to give them a bad rap. In fact, I think I'll be getting my tires from them from here on out.
