Yes, I do.

There are many Xer's as you call us that do not qualify as an urban rapper....or even Y's that don't qualify....that is a very small percentage.
I think perhaps you should take time to get to know some people that are in this age group....see that we are not so bad...

There are exceptions to everything. Logically exceptions do not make the rule. So it is possible we are both correct.

As my middle school band director used to say when he was chewing out three quarters of the band members for acting excessively juvenile: "If the shoe fits, wear it." The fact that there were exceptions to the juvenile behavior did not mean it did not exist and need to be addressed. I will defend the appropriateness of noting demographic and social patterns and trends, commenting on them, and when appropriate, acting on them.
I provided the outrageous example as a conversation starter for this thread. Obviously I expect a wide range of opinions - like retiring in Central America.
But as long as you mention it, I am far from the only person who believes the prevailing attitude of many X'ers and most Y's is that life is owed to them on a platter and that they are
above a level of work below the executive level. Ask a number of Human Resource managers. They will confirm that the age 20 to 30 job applicant demands much more and quicker upward mobility than their predecessors - perks without having earned them. This attitude is very likely a significant reason why so many younger people support Obama. He is promising the silver platter without having to pay for it. One doesn't have to have an intimate relationship with 1000s of that age group to read and understand social trends.
