[QUOTE=kstew43;1633060]I got a new knee on Jan 30, by Dr Nguyen. I am now 6 weeks out and PT is done and I'm still in pain and soreness.
My question, has anyone ever tried ICE? I am wanting to give it a try, against Dr's orders of course. Seems like all the other knee patients in therapy use ice, I don't think it should be an issue with anything, except the Doc.
After surgery and replacement, the tendons and ligaments and muscles are sore and touchy and a bit out of shape. To get back to their usual operations and function, they need to be able to get back to the shape and positions to function. I found the best item of all is this: Make up a strap or flexible line with a loop on the end and fit it over your foot. Need about 3 feet of strap or flex line. Then lay down and pull on it until you have bent the leg 90 plus 30 degrees, yep, 120 degrees of bend. PULL ON AND PULL ON IT TWICE A WEEK. You will find this helps.
Good luck. You can send a message to me here.
