Just like the "bad reputation" of Japaneses products lingered long after their quality, with products from companies such as Toyota/Honda/Etc...FAR surpassed American made automobiles.

P.S. - I'm guessing that "hand-scooped" is simply a way they are using to differentiate hard ice cream...versus "soft-serve."
