Truth has little to do with lawyers. Next to NOTHING. It is up to the jury to determine what really happened while two sides spin the story to their advantage. Or up to the "unbiased" judge.
Casey Anthony looked very guilty but the prosecutor did not quite convince the jury same with the OJ Simpson double murder case. They looked very guilty on the facts as presented by the press. The jury only sees what the judge and lawyers allow them to see according to the Rules of Evidence and the various court decisions and other sources that affect them.
And sometimes lawyers are more interested in their batting averages than anything else especially if they are elected officials or for bragging rights around lawyer bars and restaurants.
