We have a CYV and we love it! There are roughly 37.837% of owners who are seasonal. Many are from Canada and due to medical laws they may not exceed 180 days (I think) out of the country, or risk losing their coverage. Of course, that means that 62.163%, roughly, are full time.

Our villas are very active with social events, golf groups, foodies, book readers, mahjongg and more. I’m sure you’ll make friends. And FWIW, there are more single women than men in TV.

I should mention a CYV was a priority for our dog. Well, not actually the dog, it was us for her.

I disagree there is less sense of community and also disagree it is less safe. If anything, I find people watching out for each other and genuine friendships being formed. I know people here who feel so safe they literally do not lock their front door when they go out.
