Uh oh. I am no expert on this. Maybe I should have kept my mouth shut. (fingers still)
As I understand it, there are exceptions. I would think that crop dusting would have to be an exception because of the nature of the activity, the business of farming. Also airport operations, obviously are exceptions because of takeoffs and landings.
I just got all into this last night because things are getting tougher for small airports. And because Mr. Boomer is a really nice pilot who never buzzes anybody.
And right now, I have my personal pilot standing here telling me he wants to take me to MY favorite restaurant tonight. So I am out of here. (HIS favorite restaurant involves getting into a little, tiny plane and flying to some airport someplace within about 100 miles and eating a hamburger and flying back home. There is actually a book titled "The Hundred Dollar Hamburger." But those hamburgers are getting harder to come by. The cost of avgas makes them way too expensive. And mine always had to be a cheeseburger so that made it even more costly to begin with.)
