I've done it on my own by word of mouth in other states but really feel bad about handing over all that commission money for a house that will sell itself if priced properly.

The big reason I'm happy to hear about someone being happy with Zillow is that their Estimated Price and the actual selling price of the last 10 houses have nothing to do with one another, not even in the same neighborhood between their price and what we got for them.

I'm not too thrilled with Open Houses. Just a way for realtors to drum up business at our expense. Houses in the Historical Section are flying off the "Shelf" if they are priced correctly. I have proof that when we had an analysis done that their listing price was 15 To 20% lite. Fast sale little change in the commission, lots of money out the window.
