I have age related macular degeneration and have been taking areds 2 vitamins for about two and one half years. The brand I use is Advanced Theraceuticals Pro Optic areds 2 formula. This manufacturer has Zeaxanthin 2%. None of the other brands I looked at had that extra ingredient. Also I like that this is one a day while many areds require 2 capsules per day.
Best of luck to you and your wife. After two years of injections and taking the vitamins my Macular degeneration is in remission. I go to the doctor every six weeks but haven’t had to get an injection in five months.
