Vaseline is listed a petroleum jelly in plainspeak-GREASE.
For lubricating rubber weather stripping anywhere an old trick is to use Talcum Powder. Like Vaseline being grease, Talcum powder (crushed soap stone) will likely be called Baby Powder.
