We also had 2 Cap-Drain's installed three years ago (at $35 a piece). Although they do a decent job of allowing excess water to flow out of the lanai during pressure washing, during a regular rain, I notice little difference than before having them installed.

The floor drain system installed when we had our pool built does a much better job.

That being said, its a lanai (not an enclosed space) so any water that gathers during a rain usually doesn't last too long.
